About Me
My name is Robert Stead with over 20 years of experience in management and leadership roles, I run a successful coaching, training and training company based in Manchester. Following my first degree in chemistry, I trained and worked as a general nurse and then as a mental health nurse and later as a qualified teacher. I have worked closely with people helping them in their special circumstances through teaching, training, and supporting work-based learning to bring about lasting personal and professional change. I am currently studying for an MSc in Occupational Psychology at Birkbeck University.
I am a registered hypnotherapist & MBTI® practitioner. In order to develop deeper understandings I have recently completed a degree in psychology with the Open University, and qualified to administer level A & B psychometric profiling tools such as FIRO Element B®, EIQ, DISC® and VIA, 15FQ+®, and for personal enjoyment I am learning to speak German.
I have previously managed national qualifications strategies in all 4 UK countries, part of which was to design and produce learning programmes and accredited qualifications. I have also managed NVQ and VRQ assessment centres and developed highly effective teams to deliver effective learning. Another initiative involved me in leading a team of trainers, Union representatives and HR specialists to successfully complete a large scale job evaluation project to introduce a new pay structure for over 1300 staff. I have also worked with directors and board members in helping them develop their role in both the public and voluntary sectors.
I am an accredited INLPTA trainer and can deliver certificated NLP training programmes at Diploma, Practitioner and Master Practitioner level. I have also undertaken considerable training in CBT, EFT, Transactional Analysis and Provocative Dialogue. I am also a qualified coach.
I have a wide experience of workforce development in the public & voluntary sectors and developing as well as implementing leadership and management development programmes.
I have undertaken post graduate qualifications in research methodologies and educational management, gaining experience at senior management level in a diverse range of management and leadership roles.
